Please join us for the next meeting of the BNC IT Special Interest Group. The purposes of this event are to give Chicago area Information Technology professionals opportunities to develop long term relationships with other IT professionals, to share & receive knowledge from your fellow networkers and to develop a group of individuals who can help each other professionally.
All attendees will be charged a fee of $18.00 which covers the cost of appetizers (veggie salad, Margarita pizza and Weber Sampler (Rib Fingers, Beer Can Chicken Tenders, Steak Skewers & BBQ Shrimp served on Onion Curls), your soft drink or tea/coffee and tax & tip. Payment will be collected on line at http://bncinfotechrsvp.eventbrite.com. Once you have paid the attendance fee, I will send you an email confirming your RSVP.
Space is limited so make your reservation early. Once we have filled all seats, your name will be put on the wait list. If someone cancels, people on the wait list will be sent directions on how to guarantee their RSVP. Like the last one, we will be doing Speed Networking after the first 30 minutes. The first 30 minutes will be used for networking and eating.

Blaine Dolph is the Lead Architect for the Chicago Innovation Center and Rails Community Leader for IBM.
David Zayas is an Application Architect for the Chicago Innovation Center. After 8 years leading Java EE based projects, David has been Java-free for the last year and half, leading the charge on the most recent Ruby on Rails projects for the Center, Transition to Teaching and SME Toolkit.
Tom Sokalski is an application developer at the IBM Center for Solution Innovation in Chicago. He switched to Ruby on Rails around a year ago and is planning on sticking around for a while. You can contact Tom at tmsokals@us.ibm.com.

Purpose:
To educate business professionals who are currently dealing with escalating labor and other hidden costs and how automated solutions can solve this and more.

Kathryn Morales of Fujitsu, Scott Lewis of Computhink, and Mary Wagner-Webb of AnyDoc Software, Inc.
Discussion topics will include reducing the inefficiencies caused by misrouted and lost documents, eliminating the hidden costs associated with manual data entry and ending the need for costly physical document storage and retrieval.
